We've left many dull parties wondering if anything ever happened or if we just left too early.

PARTY GUIDLINES & ETIQUETTE

We all hate rules; the lifestyle requires certain etiquette.

In our many years of hosting lifestyle events; we've seen it all.

As hosts, our primary goal is to have a safe and fun party that everyone will remember.

You never want anyone to leave thinking they made a mistake by attending.

It's not just about having a great time, it's about making everyone comfortable and safe.

One experience can ruin a party and even worse, this is especially important for new couples aka newbies.

Set the ground rules early at the party or in your invitation.

Talk to new couples prior to the party

Keep in mind veteran couples tend to take things for granted; they may be aggressive without knowing it.

 

BASIC GUIDELINES FOR HOSTING AND ATTENDING LIFESTYLE PARTIES

Always be discreet: If you have neighbors close by, it's always a good idea to let your guests know how to dress and behave within view of the public. 

No Means No: This is the pinnacle of lifestyle rules. Let your guests know it's ok to say No and that you'll keep an eye out for pushy guests

No Cameras: Phones are always a distraction and use of cameras is discouraged. We recommend having your guest

keep their phones away. We understand many guests may have children at home and need to check their phones often. 

Make sure they are not using them for video or photos.

Stay with your partner: This may sound counter productive when swapping, you'd be surprised how often one half of a couple abandons the other. If you notice one half of a couple is uncomfortable and clearly not happy, you should intervene. If one half of a couple leaves the other must leave as well. 

Intoxication: Everyone loves to loosen up at parties, but an overly intoxicated guest can quickly ruin a hot time.

They may do something they will regret.

Boundaries: Find out the boundaries of your guests prior to your party. For example, Soft swap couples should understand there may be full swap situations during playtime. Make sure your full swap couples are mindful of this as well. Don't point out soft swap couples, rather remind your couples to ask permission.

Hosting a party is all about getting the mood right. 

One of our biggest compliments when we host a party is our attention to detail. 

Don't hesitate to go all out to convert your home into a party spot; rearrange furniture to give maximum party space.

Sexy décor, decorations, lighting and music all play a part in having a successful party.

HORS D'OEUVRES

Snacks are important for keeping your guests going. Stick with light snacks. Stay away from gassy or strong scents like garlics and curry ect. Beans and Pigs in blanket are great for family gatherings but not so great for the lifestyle. 

We recommend Cheese and Crackers, Guacamole and chips . Veggies platter, crock pot meatballs, bite size sandwiches or deli platter. Fruit Platters and cookies. You get the idea ;)

DON'T FORGET THE SWAG

A little swag goes a long way, make swag bags for your guests upon arrival.

They'll love it and always appreciate the goodies ;)

Bottled Water: It's always important to have plenty of water on hand for a party. 

It's a nice personal touch to add a couple of bottles of sparkling water for your guests

 

Condoms and Sample Lubes: Condoms and lubes can be pricey sometimes you can get samples from vendors.

We highly encourage having plenty on hand, including them in your swag bag sends the right message.

 

Essentials: Include Individually wrapped candies, breath mints. Maybe a snack or energy bar

​Freshen up: This is often overlooked by hosts

A freshen up basket in your restroom is essential

Include: Wipes, condoms, mouthwash with Dixie cups, breath mints, lubes, lip balm, clear nail polish for stocking runs, spray deodorant, feminine hygiene products.

SETTING THE MOOD

MEET & MINGLE

In the main party room set the mood with lighting, music ect.

Great lighting always sets the mood for hot party. Consider laser lights and party bulbs.  

Music should always be at a comfortable volume for dancing and socializing

Avoid Strobe lights or anything too intense. 

 

AFTER PARTY

For the after party, put on some soft low music like smooth R&B

Turn off the party lights and keep red light bulbs in your lamps ready to go.

Flameless candles throughout the house really sets the mood.

We recommend battery operated as oppose to flamed candles, if things get wild you don't 

need any mishaps.

We use sets that include a remote control to quickly turn them on for the after party

TIMELINES

It is imperative to set a timeline for your party, otherwise your party could end up being an extended social event. 

Keep in mind some guests may have obligations at home or may just have had a long day.

 

Establish a reasonable timeline for playtime. 

Two to three hours max of social and drinking time is enough, to get anyone in the mood

without being too tired or tipsy to play.   

Once you've got the group social and frisky with your Meet & Mingle

Take a break for an outfit change and set the mood for the after party.

During the break have everyone change into something sexy

DESIGNATED PLAY AREAS / ROOMS

Designating a play area is important for playtime if possible reserve this area just for the after party

Use low lighting (not completely dark) Red or Black light bulbs work great for low sexy lighting

When using black lights we recommend white sheet covers over the rooms furniture bed, couch, chairs ect.

This also makes for easier cleanup after the party.

If you are using your own bedroom we highly encourage waterproof sheets available on Devier Boutique. 

Flameless candles also create sexy lighting. 

Tasteful porn on the TV adds some indirect lighting and a sexy atmosphere

Always make sure it's okay with the venue to host a party in their suites. 

The perks are, everyone has their own private space before and after your party. 

This is also gives guests the option of not having to drive home after the party.

PARTY OUTDOORS

If your home's yard is private from nosey neighbors an outdoor party sets a whole new mood for your party.

Nothing is hotter than group play under the stars. 

Keep the music at a comfortable volume

Low lighting, such as string lights and or Tiki Torches are a nice touch. Turn off any flood lights, no wants to be on display. Always have a back up plan when planning an outdoor party. The weather can make or break your party.

Make sure your are ready to move your party indoors in the event of acclimate weather.

Set up play areas areas such as a large tent or yurt. A large cabin tent makes an amazing outdoor area. 

 

A NOTE ON HOT TUBS

If you have a Hot Tub, save it for the end of the party. Some hosts are eager to get everyone naked in the hot tub, 

however this kills the vibe and alienates the couples that may not be willing to jump right in. 

You may get some early play going, but your party will fizzle out quickly.

A night cap in the hot tub after everyone has had a chance to play is a perfect ending and may revitalize your group for round two.
