These events can be a rewarding experience for couples looking to connect with like minded couples for a fun weekend getaway.

What is a Hotel Takeover Event?

A hotel takeover is a hosted event that is held on specific dates typically at a hotel venue for a private lifestyle event.
The hosts secures an entire hotel or a good portion of the rooms at an upscale hotel, this is known as a total hotel takeover.
Most takeovers may also secure overflow hotels as well depending on capacity.  

They often include daytime activates, seminars, pool parties, nightly themed parties and designated play areas.

Our recommended list has security and privacy measures in place for a relaxed and safe atmosphere.

Choosing the right Takeover?

If you've dabbled in the Swingers LIfestyle long enough we're sure you've seen takeover parties listed on event calendars.

There are good ones, bad ones and really bad ones. When choosing a swingers takeover take our word for it, safety and security is paramount.

Nothing ruins a good time when things get out of hand. As hosts ourselves we understand the significance of a vetting process and security.

 

When choosing a travel event aka takeover look for the following

 

Host and Hotel Reviews:

As you would any hotel check review for the venue. Ask your friends and explore swinger forums for the hosts events for reviews. 

 

Rules, Guidelines and Disclaimers:

It's the way of the world. We understand the nuisance of reading rule and signing disclaimers but your privacy and safety are the number one priority for legitimate hosts. 

Since Sesta / Fosta went into effect in 2017, hosts are required to protect themselves and guests against illegal sexual activity.

This is addressed with legitimate membership options to properly vetted attendees. Rules and Disclaimers are a must for legitimate hosts as they not only protect themselves but attendees as well.

Proper Vetting Process: 

Since our inception in 2009 we've had a strict vetting process for our events. This successful formula roots out potential bad actors at our events. 

Larger Takeovers have a more laxed vetting process but also have multiple layers of security upon entering and throughout the events.

This compensated for time consuming vetting and prevents party crashers.

Reputable Website and Payment options:

If the host is asking for Venmo or Cash App? Don't do it! Always choose a host with a reputable website featuring a membership portal and or invoicing system.

One 'Red Flag' is a host that attempts to circumvent laws by using personal payment options. This means they are not a legitimate insured business and you should take that at face value.

Use the guidelines above and keep an eye out for these Red Flags. 

 

Cheap hotels and ticket prices:

If it's a hotel you wouldn't normally choose, stay away. If a ticket is too cheap it's never a good sign when it comes to properly staffing and event. 

 

Social Media and Groups:

Some website and social media platforms allow Swinger groups to be formed. Though this is not always a bad option for meet ups.

It's more likely than not, they are a couple looking to host small parties such as meet & greets. Never attended a takeover that doesn't follow the guidelines above. Inexperience can lead to disaster, we could tell you stories but you'll have to take our word for it. 

 

All Single Men:

Though Single males may attend select events. An over crowded single male sign up list on a swinger site, typically means there is no vetting in place. 

There are legitimate Single Male / Hotwife events it's extremely important that they are well regulated with safety and security in place.  

 

If it doesn't feel right just leave:

If you've opted to, or committed to attend a takeover already and don't want to back out.

When you arrive scout the location make sure it's secure, clean and private, make sure security or staff are visible. 

Observe other guests when checking in, it's pretty easy to spot attendees that look out of place or unsavory.

If the vibe is off. There is no shame in leaving an event if it doesn't feel right. Don't make a scene, just leave and contact the host after for a refund. Find a nice hotel and enjoy each others company for the weekend and make the best of it.
